New Smiles in Mandurah

Dental implants are an alternative tooth replacement that improves your oral health. They allow for proper chewing, clearer speech and increased confidence. At Mandurah Dental Implant Centre, our experienced dentists offer implants as a more comfortable alternative to traditional dentures and bridges.

What are Dental Implants

Implants are a somewhat unique restoration that replaces teeth as closely as possible to what nature had in mind. They give our patients the chance to improve their smiles with a comfortable, functional option that can last for years.

Each implant is essentially a titanium screw that replaces the root of your missing tooth. On top of the implant, we attach a single crown, bridge or denture. Bridges up to 12 teeth long can be securely fixed into place.

You can also elect to choose implants made of tinted porcelain so that no titanium is visible in areas of gum recession.

Restorative Options

The dentists at Mandurah Dental Implant Centre work with local laboratories to create custom-shaded restorations that mimic the appearance of natural teeth. In certain cases, we may utilise CAD/CAM technology to work directly with Nobel Biocare overseas labs, which provide a quality guarantee on every restoration they deliver.

Here are some of the restorative options that we may recommend for your implants:

  • Porcelain or Zirconia Crowns – Placed over individual implants, for single tooth replacement.

  • Acrylic or Titanium Bridges – For multiple tooth replacement of up to 12 teeth at one time.

  • Implant Supported Dentures/All-on-4™ – A secured denture that is anchored over 4-6 implants for added stability. If the situation allows, we may even be able to complete full mouth tooth replacement in 2-3 days.

Oral Surgery

In situations where there is not enough bone to support a dental implant, our Mandurah dentists can provide regenerative procedures that accommodate placement. Some of the ways we do this are by performing sinus lifts and bone augmentation that allow for quality bone development and added implant stability.

Maintenance and Long-term Care

Caring for your implants is just like caring for a normal tooth. Brush and floss it regularly and schedule routine preventative appointments to keep the area around it healthy.

Studies indicate that implants generally last for well over 40 years when properly maintained. Gradually the crowns or bridges may need to be changed out, but there’s no reason that the actual implant cannot last for the rest of your life.
